Jaime started wrestling in high school. His senior year he went 56-1 placing 2nd in the California state championship.
52 of those wins came by pin or technical fall. After high school he briefly attended Sierra college. At the age of 22
he began studying martial arts. Shortly after receiving his black belt, he took over his own school and began
teaching. At the age of 33 he began training to compete in MMA events. A few months later he found himself
fighting in the cage.

Jaime was recently awarded Tyson Johnson's Gladiator Challenge 2005 Fighter of the Year Award and has claimed
the following Championship Belts in his career:
